Due to Lockdown, July Month birthday celebration was done on WhatsApp group class through video call.
The overall responsibility of the event was taken by the class teachers of three classes: Primary I/II and Secondary. During this month, we celebrated 7 students and 6 staff members’ birthdays. The online birthday preparations began at the end of June month with the help of parents and teachers for making cards, writing birthday wishes along with names of respective students or staff members whose birthday falls in the month of July.
On 12th July at 5.30pm all staff members, students and parents celebrated our Founder & Managing trustee Ms. Shirish Poojari’s birthday on Google meet.
This month, the focus was on ’Environment’ shown in different ways like ‘Say No to plastic, save electricity/water, love animals, plant a tree and recycle clothes. It was performed at home by students, siblings and parents of our school as role play. Through role play, they gave message that-“Our environment is our life’ we should all make our environment healthy for all humans’ beings. We prepared a video based on topic ‘Environment’ and shared it in all the class groups.
Mrs. Rupali Dhandhore made video of Laxman Mahtre, Mr. Laxman More made birthday videos of Shirish teacher, Mrs. Aditi Kadam made video of Marwyn and Mrs. Grace Rekha Simoes made video of Chhaya as a way of wishing them on their birthday. Mrs. Grace Rekha Simoes, class teacher of Primary-II collected photos and greeting cards of birthday students and staff from all the classes and send them to the event coordinator (Laxman More) to make the video of July month's birthday celebrations. The overall July month birthday video was shared on the school Watsapp group, all the class groups and social media.
All class students prepared beautiful greeting cards, cakes, gifts and birthday song for classmates, teachers, and other staff members. All students enjoyed watching their classmates, teachers in the videos.
Objectives was that all students must enjoy event, interact with school friends while staying at home in pandemic COVID-19. It was very different experience and fun celebrating birthdays online.
