Self Development Program for Teachers Of Special School

-->
Every year, we follow a theme such that our teaching program is based on that topic that includes classroom activities, cultural and social skills. This year is represented by the concept of formation of a pearl. Just like a pearl is formed by addition of layers over the years to become more valuable, so is our school where we teach and groom our students in such a way that they collectively shine and give the school premises its lustre.

 Keeping this concept in mind this year’s theme is “Pravaas-The journey of a pearl.”

New academic year started with new set of co-ordinator’s team. As event co-ordinators,  they decided to have different events for students as well as for teachers. Self-development programme for teachers was organised to develop their self-confidence , effective communication and to overcome the stage fear.

The first activity for teachers was organised by school. Teachers were very excited to take part in it. They selected their topics and prepared presentation/demo by managing their day to day work in short period of time.

First round was conducted on 6th July, 2019 in school premises. Out of six teachers, four teachers gave their presentation on different topics.

Pearl Vidya made a presentation on UDID with the support of PPT. They learnt about the importance of UDID card. UDID- Unique Disability ID-Card has number of benefits for the government as well as the persons with disabilities. She gave information about required documents to fill the form online.

Second presentation was made by Pearl Pallavi. She shared the information about a workshop she had attended. ShaalaSanhita-booklet on the rules and regulations for school, skill development programs and job placements were the points shared by her.

Pearl Rakesh shared information on self-defense with practical demonstrations. His presentation was laced with fun and humour leading to a very interactive session.

The final presentation was made by Pearl SmitaVartak. She spoke about the awakening of Kundalini through meditation. An audio was played imparting information on the seven chakras and the sounds associated with the chakras. Finally, she requested us all to dance with our eyes closed to a very energizing music. The school hall vibrated with tapping feet and clapping hands.

The purpose of this workshop was fulfilled as all the four teachers presented their topics with great confidence.
