27 Students of the school accompanied by Principal Mrs. Sukanya Venkataraman and two teachers Mr. Sarang Rathod and Mr. Lakshman More participated in a Walkathon organised by the Rotary club of Navi Mumbai Hillside at service road near NMMC head Quarters off palm beach marg on 19th November from 8 am to 10 am. Mrs. Trupti Sandbhor the Deputy Commissioner of NMMC was the chief guest for the occasion. The walkathon was flagged off by the Dy. Commissioner and Mr. Ravinder Singh the President of the club along with the members of the club. President and members of the Inner wheel club of New Bombay Hillside were also present. After completing the 250 m walk the students assembled in the amphitheater inside the NMMC HQ.
Prizes were given to the students who completed the reached the finish point first. Mst. Mohan Jadhav, Mst. Gunnit Jaiswal and Ms. Ishika Kalbande won the 1st, 2nd and 3rdprize respectively. All other students were also given trophies and gifts after the event.
Mrs. Trupti Sandbhor addressed the students and encouraged them with a motivating speech. The President Mr. Ravinder Singh also gave a motivating speech and appreciated the students for their participation. With a vote of thanks the event ended. Snacks were distributed to all.
