The
inauguration of the new school building was held on the 30th Nov
2016. The building was inaugurated by Shri Manohar G Bhoir, MLA Uran, District
Raigad. Nagar Adhyaksha, corporators, many government officials attended the
programme. Parekh Bros Shri. Khatau
Parekh, Shri. Harish Parekh and Shri. Jaysinh Parekh of Seabird Marines Pvt Ltd
who donated 12.5 lakhs for school building honoured us by their presence. Many
donors, well wishers, all trustees, staff of all the units of Swami Brahmanand
Pratishthan and parents of Sweekar too
were present.
Mr
Atul Mishra entertained the audience with his melodious hindi songs. He was
later joined by Mr and Mrs Korgaokar the first winner of Sare gama.
The
new school building has 9 different rooms to be used as class rooms,
occupational therapy, home science, vocational activity room, staff room etc.
Various
philanthropist and donors contributed towards the plot ,construction of the
building, equipments etc. To mention few names who supported are
Grand children
of Late Smt. Shantadevi and Late Shri. Navalrai Mirpuri from Pune. Shri.
Shankar Mahadevan the famous musician,
Shri. Mahendra bhai Sutar,
Nikhil
Jasuja,
Shri. Shashikant Devbagkar,
Sanjay Mirpuri,
Prajapati and Darshan bhai
gave tiles at subsidized rates.
Mr. Nimish
Vora waived off labour charges on RCC structure.
Mr. Samarth
Agarwal and Shri Chintamani
Purandare Structural engineer and Architect did honorary services in designing
and structural drawing.
Each
and every staff member helped in decorating the building and making other arrangements for the event. It
was a memorable evening.
The SWEEKAR name has now changed to SEA BIRD Special
School.
