On 5th August, sisters will tie rakhi on their brother’s wrist to strengthen their bond of friendship. The children at Swami Brahmanand Prathisthan are busy making those friendship bands.
They have made beautiful rakhis with beads and stones and crystals and colored threads. Their workmanship is a real treat and children do with so much concentration that it surprised me to see such beautiful rakhis can be made by these special kids.
I visited school this week and I saw hundreds of Rakhis made by children and they have already started selling. The cost is minimum (much cheaper than what you will get at the store) and the profits will be shared equally amongst the children who toiled at this task.
