Swami Brahmanand Pratishthan an NGO has been working for the welfare and upliftment of the mentally challenged since the last 18 years. The organization celebrated its 17th Annual day cum Prize distribution on the 12th April at Mangal Sabha gruha at CBD.
Shri S.K. KAUL CM (A)&Secy JNPT, Sheva, along with his wife graced the occasion. The students displayed their talents by performing various cultural events. The world Bank report on the status of the disabled says ‘The Disabled are the most excluded in India’ but at Swami Brahmanand the special children are trained and made so independent and become contributing members of the society and in turn help in the economic development of the Country.
The theme for this years programme was 60 YEARS OF INDPENDENCE. The chief guest has also expressed his keen desire to extend his full support to develop the Uran Centre SWEEKAR which is one of the unit of Swami Brahmanand Pratishthan
At the end of the program prizes were distributed to the students. Some special prizes were also given to the students. Like every year two students were bestowed with student of the year award.
Ms. Aditi Verma from CBD centre and Mst. Sachin More from Uran centre were selected for this award.
