Diwali is the festival of lights. It is the day when we start cleaning the house to welcome the goddess Laxmi, the Goddess of Wealth, it is the day, when we meet friends and family and exchange gifts and sweets. It is the day when we decorate the house with candles and light. It is a day to rejoice…..
On 31st October, Diwali party was celebrated at school. The party was sponsored by Nita Chugani, our well-wisher from Madrid, Spain. The children came dressed and in happy mood. They danced, played games and burnt crackers. Later they were served lunch that consisted of vegetarian Puloa, Chole, Jelebi salad, pickle and papad.
