On the 27th August, we celebrated the sacred festival of Rakhsha Bandhan, or Rakhi, a celebration of the bond of love and the bond of family in our school, the girls tied rakhi to the boys, that they had lovingly made in the school. The aarti was done by the girls and then they readily tied rakhi to the boys. The boys in turn gave chocolate to their sisters. There was much joy and feast in the air and children were very happy.
Hiral tied rakhi to Sunil
Ashwina ties rakhi to Rohit
Supriya ties rakhi to Sanju
Apeksha ties Rakhi to Sachin
Pooja ties rakhee to Veeraj
Ashwina ties rakhee to Ketan
Rakhi is the festival of love between brother and sister. On this day, sisters tie sacred threads around their brothers' wrists, symbolizing their love and affection. In return, the brother promises to protect his sister and to always be there for her. Rakhsha means protection or security and Bandhan means a bond or relation. Thus, Rakhsha Bandhan symbolizes the bond of security and protection between brothers and sisters.
