Commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in 2011

United Nations has declared 3rd December as the International Day of Persons With Disabilities and is being observed since 1992. The main idea of onserving this day is to promote awareness regarding disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. It was originally called "International Day of Disabled Persons". The theme for this year is
Together for a better world for all: Including persons with disabilities in development"
Inclusion at all levels is the focus of all those who are working for the welfare of persons with disabilities.
Swami Brahmanand Pratishthan will be organising a Fun Fair for the special children of Navi Mumbai and Raigad District on 7th December. Fun games, art and craft activities, cultural programs and many more entertaining activities have been planned by the staff members of the Organisation.
