The Self Advocacy training program an initiative of Parivaar with the support of CBM SARO, Bangalore created Self Advocates Forum of India(SAFI) in the year 2008. This created an opportunity for the self advocates to be heard at the Regional and National parents meets accross the country.Ms. Grace Rekha Simoes a senior special educator and Mentor in the self advocacy forum of India conducted a workshop at SBP school premises on 16th September for the Teacehrs, self advocaes and parents. SAFI professes to empower the Individuals with Intellectual disabilities to achieve increasing control of various aspects of their lives and participate in the community with dignity.
