Swami
BrahmanandPratishthan (SBP) celebrated its 26th Annual Day on 6th
February. The event was held at AdhyaKrantiveer Vasudeva
BalwantPhadkeNatyagraha, Panvel. Shri Avinash Lad, the Deputy Mayor of the Navi
Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) was the Chief Guest.The function started
with words of wisdom by our Chief Guest Shri Avinash Lad. He encouraged the
organization for its service to the society and complimented our founder, MrsShirishPoojary
by describing her as Mother Teresa.Guests of Honour , Shri Sunil Bazare, Senior
Police Inspector, Panvel and Shri Raju Soni, Corporator PMC, Pavel City
encouraged the organization in its endeavors.
The performances began
with a shloka for Goddess Durga. Students of Disha and Falguniunit gave a
mesmerizing performance on the song “JaagoMaaDurga”. The tribute to the Gods enthralled
all the spectators.Following it was a dance by students of the playgroup.
Students looked cute in their animal costumes which enhanced the experience for
all. Following the theme of West Bengal, the next performance depicted the
fisherman of Bengal and their families’ prayers to protect their members. A
variety of dances were performed by the students. It included a tribute to Lord
Ganesh and the Ashtavinayak dance and a musical performance by students of the
Disha unit. Another remarkable performance was a dance by the primary school
girls of Disha unit. The dance was a form of celebration performed in West
Bengal after a season of good harvest. A mesmerizing dance on the song “Me Marathi”
by students of Sweekar unit, Uranthrilled all present.
The series of wonderful
performances were followed by a prize distribution ceremony. The best students
were given awards on the basis of feedback given by their teachers. A total of
five students received the awards. SnehaVerma and DishaMaru won the Late MahalaxmiHariharan
award for their outstanding performance at the World Summer games, Special
Olympics in Los Angeles. The Late Mukul Jain award was given to VineetBhoir of
Sweekar unit and to Pratik Tayade of the Falguni unit.Ashika Nair of the Disha
unit was the recipient of the Vidya award.
Following the prize
distribution was a talk by MrsShirishPoojary who spoke on the support she had
received during her 26 yrs of journey with Swami Brahmnand Pratishthan from
various stake holders. This included parents, staff members, volunteers and
donors and many others who had supported and helped the organization reach the
pinnacles of success. It was Swamiji’s grace that had connected her to all of
them. She expected the same support for the upcoming Brahmagiri Project. This
was followed by a vote of thanks by Mrs. Charu Shah. The event was a huge
success and showcased the wonderful talent which students possess.
