APPEAL TO SPONSORS

Dear Friends,

We’ll begin by saying thanks for all the physical and moral support you have given us over the years in helping our special children learn to lead a life of independence and dignity.

With your support, Swami Brahmanand Pratishthan has now completed twenty years of service. In these years, countless mentally challenged individuals have succeeded in standing up on their own feet, and are able to lead a life of self-reliance and equality in society. Not just that, many of our students have participated and won prizes in activities like the Special Olympics (Gold in Hockey, Austria, 1993), National-level swimming & badminton championships, dramatics, art and many other fields. We are immensely proud of each and every achievement by our students, big or small.

Currently, eighty-six children are enrolled in our school ‘Disha Special School’. Alongside, we have also been running successfully Falguni Vocational Training Centre with forty students and ‘Sweekar’ a centre for mentally challenged children in the rural areas of Uran with thirty students. We have successfully started ‘Swayam’, a self-help group in collaboration with out Swami Brahmanand Parents Association for students who are age 21 and above. These young entrepreneurs are setting out on a path of self-reliance and enterprise, holding their heads high in society.

Now we are taking our endeavor a few steps forward. We are planning to set up ‘Brahmagiri’, a home for mentally challenged senior citizens. For that, we are organizing a special cultural program “Saath Saath” on 4^th February 2010, in which celebrated singer Shankar Mahadevan has agreed to be the chief guest. On that occasion, we will be releasing a souvenir.

We appeal to you to help us by buying sponsorships in the souvenir. The money raised will be used for creating the funds for ‘Brahmagiri’. The rates are as follows:
