On 19th of November a workshop for parents was
organised on the topic “New Concept- Sexuality in special children" by Dr.
Kranti Phadnis and ex assistant professor Terna Medical College and Gynecologist, Kharghar.
She spoke on various points -sexuality, sexual development a
multi dimensional process, growing up concerns of their children, various behavior
challenges relating to mental issues, masturbation, sexual abuse and “supervised
freedom”. She cleared various misconceptions about sexuality , challenges faced
in the present scenario, educating children about good and bad touch and behavior
management. It was an interactive session. Parents put forth many questions and
cleared their doubts.
