Differently 'able' week

Disability should be changed to differently able. That is what we observed during this disability week from 3rd December to 7th December. We saw children take part in the Rally shouting slogan on awareness pleading the society to give them a chance to bloom, to accept and to integrate them into their folds, and help them lead a normal life.

On 3rd December, children took part in sports and bagged 4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

On 4th December, about 300 people participated in the Rally, that included children, their parents and the students of NMIH, they performed street plays with loud messages of disability awareness.

On 5th and 6th December, there was an exhibition of social awareness that was visited by many people throughout the day.

On 7th December, there was a funfair which was a great success. There were games stalls and stage shows. About 800 visitors from 11 schools of Navi Mumbai visited the school. They came to showcase their talent and took part in all the games. Each child was given gift hampers and lunch. It was a party that spelled joy and happiness.

You had to be there to share the smile of those children. It was a pure pleasure.
